Mount the sleeve
Top mount, side mount or embedded. It fixes to a deck, dock, picnic table, railing or even concrete.
The Patio Buddy is a commercial-grade, twist-lock umbrella mount for decks, docks and picnic tables. No 50 lb base to drag around. No tipping. Nothing left behind when the umbrella comes out.

Heavy bases crack, rust, trip people up and still blow over on a windy afternoon. The Patio Buddy bolts into the structure you already have, so the umbrella becomes part of the deck.
The old wayPatio Buddy
A permanent sleeve goes into your deck, dock or table. A male adapter goes on your umbrella pole. The patent-pending twist-lock joins the two in seconds, with no bending over or crawling under the table.

Top mount, side mount or embedded. It fixes to a deck, dock, picnic table, railing or even concrete.

Drop the pole in and turn to lock. It stays secure and upright and won't wobble in the wind.

Pull the umbrella for winter and cap the sleeve. Nothing to trip over and nothing to store.
Choose the mount that fits your space. Every option uses the same twist-lock adapter, so umbrellas, side tables and torches move between them.

A square steel plate screws to the surface. It's ideal for picnic tables, high-tops and cast-aluminum patio tables.

Puts shade on the edge of the deck without taking up any floor space, and frees the table for food and drinks.

Installed from below for a perfectly flush finish. This is the favorite for deck and dock builders.

Attaches permanently to your umbrella and fits poles from 1‑5/16" to 1‑1/2" in diameter.
Fits standard aluminum and steel umbrella and flag poles
Patent-pending mechanism that installs and removes umbrellas without tools
Durable, weatherproof finish with stainless-steel internal parts
Built for public spaces like restaurants, parks and marinas
A protective cap keeps the sleeve clean and flush when it's not in use
American-made hardware built to last for seasons
Pull the umbrella when the sun goes down and drop in a side table for drinks, or a tiki torch for the evening. Everything twist-locks into the same mount.

From a quiet lake house to a busy beer garden, the Patio Buddy works anywhere people want shade without the clutter.

Put the umbrella in and take it out standing up, with no 50 lb base to wrestle and nothing on the deck to trip over.

Install embedded sleeves during the build and hand your client a cleaner, finished deck that's ready for shade.

Umbrellas locked to the table don't blow into guests. Pull them nightly in seconds with the twist-lock.

Add Patio Buddy to your picnic tables or umbrellas and give your customers a built-in, upgraded mount.

Easy to install and easy to use. I rehabbed a picnic table with it.
Great for shade in South Carolina, and it keeps my dock umbrella from blowing away.
Installed on a 100-year-old porch wall with some reinforcing framing. Now we enjoy evening wine on the porch.

Ask a questionThe Patio Buddy is designed for typical aluminum and steel umbrella poles from 1‑5/16" to 1‑1/2" in diameter. Larger commercial umbrellas, especially ones with oversized wooden poles, may exceed the adapter's capacity, so reach out and we'll help.
Most installs take 3–10 minutes. A picnic table, especially one with a center hole, takes about 10 minutes. Under-deck mounting takes about 30 minutes and needs no special tools.
Many picnic-table owners trim the lower section of the pole to get the perfect height. Once it's cut, the adapter twist-locks in as normal.
Check for debris before inserting the umbrella and keep the cap on when it's not in use. Spray a little lubricating oil inside the adapter a few times a year, and wipe down metal surfaces, especially in coastal or humid areas.
